EAST ASIAN MEDICINE & ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture

A healing method that uses fine, sterilized, stainless-steel needles that are gently inserted into the skin to stimulate acupuncture points. Acupuncture points connect to larger meridians within the body that promote the free flow of Qi or energy and reduces stagnation and pain. Scientific research studies have found that the insertion of fine needles into acupuncture points uses the same internal pathways as the parasympathetic nervous system, which puts our body into the state of rest and homeostasis. These pathways also trigger natural dopamine stimulation that decreases pain responses in the body. Acupuncture also promotes local and systemic blood circulation and speeds the healing process of inflammation that can help a variety of health conditions.

CUPPING

This suction therapy may create light bruising on the skin that will last for a few days.

ENERGY HEALING & CHAKRA BALANCING

Energy healing helps to restore balance to your vital energy by clearing blockages and repairing deficiencies. Similar to Acupuncture Meridians, the Chakra system is comprised of energy centers that help to activate the flow of energy in the body, life force production, and maintain emotional, spiritual and mental health. The word Chakra means “wheel” in Sanskrit. Just like the movement of water wheels, these energetic centers are in constant movement to process energy exchange inside our bodies and also with the outside world and elements. The constant churning of these “wheels” or energy centers can easily slowdown from our daily life stresses and can eventually push us into imbalance. An energy healing session involves hands-on energy work, visualization, color therapy and felt-sense awareness, which helps to unblock stasis and remove negative energy. By releasing these blockages, it can recharge and balance your Chakras energy centers and facilitate your body’s own natural ability to heal itself.

SOUND THERAPY

Sound therapy is a gentle healing treatment using tuning forks that are specifically designed to emit a wide range of pure sound frequencies. The tuning forks are activated and applied at a short distance from the ears. The frequency travels throughout the entire body and targets specific areas of stagnation in the physical, emotional, mental and energetic centers. The tuning forks produce frequencies that are also attuned with the Alpha and Theta brain waves. This promotes natural self-repairing mechanisms and recalibration. The treatments are focused on stress reduction, deep relaxation, mental clarity, and rebalancing vital energy. Sound therapy can be a stand-alone treatment or it can be complementary with acupuncture and energy healing.
